A lifelong artist and Virginia native Laura Ray spends her days at her home studio with her husband, son and dog. Laura has always felt most at peace while wandering through nature. The captivating beauty of a morning sunrise inspires her layered approach. Laura’s unparalleled attention to detail involves many layers, textures and rich yet subtle colors in her pieces.

Laura has spent extensive time working with a multitude of media across her career as an artist. She obtained an Art History degree from Virginia Tech and developed her personal style for several years before pursing an additional degree with The Milan Art Institute.

Laura seeks to draw the observer in to enjoy each piece from several angles. As you move around them her pieces come to life as the light source within the layers dances and shifts. It is her desire to share her love of nature and heart for finding peace through quiet observation with each person who experiences her work.
